NC Mountain Vacations

No matter what time of fall you visit the North Carolina High Country, there is a place where the leaves are at their peak.

A festival is sure to be hopping with music, dancing, pumpkin pie, apple cider, and excitement.

We are proud to bring the best of  Autumn in NC and the High Country to you. This area is world famous for it's natural beauty, and easy access to any activity. The weather center to the right is being pulled from Appnet's weather station at the foot of Grandfather Mountain.  A great place for a North Carolina Mountain Getaway.

The best hiking trails are found here, covered in shades of red, orange and gold, a carpet rolled out just for you. Whether you want to stand atop the highest point in the Blue Ridge and look over the mountains to the piedmont, or take an easy walk into an old growth nature preserve, your senses will be overwhelmed. For guided hiking treks, visit Lost Cove Trekking & check out their "Leaf Peeper Special"

Beautiful drives abound at every turn, bring a sweater, because the overlooks you pass will have you out of the car, in awe of the view of the south, laid out in front of you, like an Appalachian patchwork quilt. The best routes to enjoy the seasonal drives are right here at your fingertips.

Motorcycle enthusiasts will find some of the best rides in the country listed here.

Cyclists will enjoy the smooth windy parkway and long range view as they breath in the crisp, clean, mountain air on a sunny Autumn day.  The North Carolina Mountain Biking in the area is some of the best.

Festivals abound during Harvest season!  In Appalachia a unique culture exists, preserved by the isolation of the High Country for centuries. Come experience music, dancing, native food and drink, crafts, demonstrations, storytelling, games, and a celebration of life made good by the fruits of the earth. Mountain golf is great in the fall, check out these North Carolina Golf Courses.
